Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood is my first miniature doll from the series of characters from the well known fairy tales (more of them is coming!).

It’s made of wood and felt, the arms and legs are fully moveable. It’s 35mm high (without the hood). The cloak is removable.

Ballet Dancer II

…Ballet dancer no.2.

Second miniature ballerina. While making them I had a few more ideas, so I might create a series. Who knows, maybe even a miniature Swan Lake? XD

Just like the previous one, the doll is fully made of wood, with needle felted hair and the dress made of lace ribbon. The doll is 3cm high ( and requires a stand, which means I have to think of something…).

Ballet Dancer

Welcome back, log time no see!

Lately I made two miniature ballet dancer dolls. Both fully made of wood, with needle felted hair, 3cm high. The dresses are made of lace ribbons.

So, there it is, ballet dancer no. 1…

Walnut Fairy House

My very first walnut fairy house!

A bit of experimentation with all sorts of materials and tools… Not as easy as it seems!

As far as the idea in my head looked OK, the fabrics wouldn’t cooperate, lots of mishaps and hissy fits with stuff flying around 😛

But in the end I managed!! 😀

A private tiny island…

This miniature house was one of my first miniatures. I used a little slice of wood as a base, felt for grass and a tree. The house itself is also made of wood.

To be honest, this was simply an experiment to check how the materials would work together, how it would look like after appalling glue and how much I’d need it, etc. Truth be told, there’s a lot to improve, but it gave me some confidence with the materials and a few ideas for the future projects!
